Questions and Answers About Our Palm Desert Window Tinting Films
Q: How is the window film applied?
A: Our Palm Desert Window Tinting Films are applied professionally by our skilled, authorized technicians. Nearly all our films are designed to go inside your glass, not outside. We first prepare the window, placing drop cloths on the floor and protecting furnishings where necessary. Glass is thoroughly cleaned, the film is sprayed with a slip solution, applied, squeegeed professionally, and completed by removing excess water, trimming around edges, and drying the edges with a professional technique.
Q: How long do window films take to dry?
A: It takes around 30 days for the film to fully dry and cure. During this time, it’s normal to have small water bubbles or a hazy appearance. These disappear as it dries. Time to dry can range from a few days to 45 days depending on humidity and weather conditions.
Q: How long do the window films last?
A: Our high quality Palm Desert Window Tinting Films are made to last for many years. The exact length of time depends upon several factors including the type of film applied, the orientation of the window or glass relative to the sun and weather forces, the type of glass it’s applied to, and the climate in which it’s applied. Most of our applications last well beyond the warranty length.
Q: What kind of warranty can I get with your window films?
A: Good question! As an authorized 3M™ window film dealer, we provide some of the best warranties available in window films. With this product, there is much information for you so be sure to ask for more information on warranties when you call. Generally speaking, our 3M products are warranted for lifetime to maintain their solar properties without bubbling, peeling, cracking, or crazing, with many products also warranted against discoloration as well. If the product proves defective, we’ll replace it and provide the reapplication labor free of charge. Also available are warranties that cover thermal shock fractures, seal failure, and failures caused by application.
Q: Does the UV ray protection eventually lose effectiveness?
A: Everything has an eventual lifetime, as do our high quality window films. The ultra violet protection of our Palm Desert Window Tinting Films is in the form of a proprietary adhesive system, which makes it last many years.
Q: What makes your window films different from others?
A: When compared to other window films, our safety & security window films are made with polyester in thicker layers with a much more aggressive adhesive. Our Palm Desert Window Tinting Films are unique in the industry because they use a special micro-layered polyester technology. This new method of manufacturing brings you more tear resistance than ever before, making the product more impact and tear resistant outperforming all other films of similar thickness!
